Introducing Disasterproof
Conversations with the people building a more resilient world
In the last 100 days alone, floods in Indonesia killed nearly a thousand people, AI has made staggering leaps forward, and a new war erupted in the Middle East.
It’s easy to feel like things are falling apart.
But in 1798, Thomas Malthus predicted mass starvation — and the agricultural revolution proved him wrong.
What keeps us optimistic is this: somewhere out there, someone is building the solution to the crises we fear most.
We started Disasterproof to find these people and tell their stories.
We’ll meet the people building, financing, and safeguarding the future — from frontline responders and scientists to CEOs, investors, philanthropists, and elected officials.
For us, this is personal. Kat was born in the Philippines, one of the epicenters of climate-driven disasters. It’s a country fighting for its future against stronger typhoons and sea level rise. Bill watched wildfire reshape daily life in California and went on to found Convective Capital, a venture fund dedicated to wildfire and resilience tech.
We have two formats — a video series and a separate podcast. In the video series, you’ll see drones fighting wildfires, hear from leaders preparing their countries for rising sea levels, and you’ll get a glimpse of what the future of weather prediction and disaster response looks like. You’ll even learn how to disasterproof your own community.
In the podcast, the conversations go deeper. We’ll explore what people across the resilience ecosystem fear, what gives them hope, and what it will take to prepare for what comes next.

A special thank you to our partners, The Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, for helping make Disasterproof possible.

Very very excited for this
There is no single technology able to suppress wildfire in high wind condition. Here is a new drone swarm powder coating technology can enhance wildfire fighting www.Fire-Seek.com
